The Assassin’s Creed franchise is hugely popular and now Ubisoft is all set to unveil a new entry in the lineup. Named Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, the game features an open-world adventure setting and the players get transported to the Viking era. Valhalla will be made available on both existing and upcoming consoles and also on PC. Now, you can pre-order the game for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Set in the 9th century, it has a socially turbulent backdrop. In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, the player dons the hat of Eivor, a valiant Viking raider. Eivor takes his clan from war-torn Norway to England, seeking a new adventure.

Ubisoft says the combat is inspired by Viking fighting styles. Like recent Assassin’s Creed games, Valhalla will get its own season pass so that the players can access post-launch DLCs. The game will have many more elements to attract the players than only fighting. Derby McDevitt, the Valhalla narrative designer said there will be a link to Norse mythology too. The game will also feature flyting-which is Viking rap battles.

Ashraf Alsmail, the creative director of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla shared this news on Twitter and it made the fans excited. Flyting used to be in vogue both in Saxon and Norse side of England in the bygone days. Alsmail added that the practice is part of Norse culture and such episodes took place between Norse deities like Odin and Thor. The Vikings would get drunk and use rhymes to insult opponents in the presence of a crowd.
